About Us
The San Luis Obispo Foster Parent Association (SLOCFPA) is the local chapter of the California State Foster Parent Association (CSFPA), a tax-exempt non-profit organization (501(c)3).
The fundamental goal of SLOCFPA is to support foster parents in San Luis Obispo County. The SLOCFPA is comprised of both current foster parents and foster parents who have become adoptive parents.
The SLOCFPA provides a means to plug into a network of new and experienced foster parents that can help support and guide you through your foster parenting experience. We believe that by coming together and pooling our knowledge and resources, we, as foster parents, become better equipped to deal with the challenges we meet every day.
